If I were to issue some more tokens manually, It would make the entire project worthless and based on a lie so then it should be valued at zero imo. If there were a safe mechanism to make that impossible

I agree with you. It's one thing for me to say it, but that requires trust. If there were a way to make it impossible for me to issue more tokens I would enable that feature, so that it would be trustless.
