You are clearly taking an authoritarian role on Hive's social interactions when you downvote a post based on your judgement that it is nonsense.

This is partly my nature. Before Hive, I barely used any social media at all, because it's been my experience that typical social media systems like facebook/instagram/etc don't have information that I'm deeply interested in. I found facebook useful as a communication mechanism when I ran a table tennis club, but since I stopped doing that, I almost never use it.

I have a similar nature. I never did use much social media until steemit. I deleted my facebook a while back because it is filled with nonsense that is not worth any of my time. I also see the value in the communication capabilities but I prefer telegram for those features.

Nonetheless, I do occasionally downvote ideas I read that I believe are not logical and spread disinformation and yet are still highly rewarded. Especially if my own time was wasted because of it. That's kind of the point of the voting system as it was designed (note it wasn't me that designed it and I do believe it can be improved, but I don't see the OP's comments at all useful in that process).

I saw that you saw one of the reasons I think he's a scam artist.
I'm sure he'll try to find some plausible explanation for it, but it's not the only thing that led me to think that. I've also just gotten a negative impression of him from his overall communication pattern, although admittedly I don't follow him very closely and maybe I've only seen the "bad" posts and not the "good" ones.

Yes, I saw that and I think he needs to explain himself, although I can't imagine a good explanation for some scammy bullshit post like that. I am also not a fan of his communication style and I have called him out for it in the past.
