What’s that definition of FUN again?
According to my dictionary, FUN is all about enjoyment and amusement. And yeah, I had a whole lot of FUN on Saturday.
The HIVE FUNAAB hangout happened on Saturday and it was really enjoyable. Though I wasn’t expecting anything less, I can say I was thrilled by the whole event. So let me gist you on how it all went down.
Slated for 10 am, we had just 5 of us at the set venue at this time. What do you expect from Nigerians and the African Time Syndrome? That meant we had a lot of late-comers. It’s just a perpetual habit amongst folks here, perhaps it's a behavioral trait. Well, story for another day.
So we left at about 10:50 am for our destination, The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) resort. We bought Meat Pie and a soft drink as we moved. Due to the traffic and bad roads, it took us about 75 minutes to get there…
Therefore we got there at about noon and we went straight to getting to know ourselves better and taking pictures, yeah pictures- lots of them.
After the picture-taking session, we went into the OOPL Wildlife Centre…
And we saw animals, from the King of the Jungle to the fastest bird on land and to the craftiest of animals. It was a nice experience to see this close-up. Other animals we saw were the African Python, a vulture, a dwarf crocodile, an ostrich, baboons, a gazelle amongst others. It was a sight to behold.
Then we went to watch a movie premiere...
