Today I am going to share another photography post with you where I will share some pictures which I have captured today. We are having dense fog here and so cold but rain as well. It's not heavy rain/shower and my phone was saying 2 degrees celsius with mist. That means it's not rain, it's a mist which feels like rain but not rain...
I guess these are water droplets which I like most. This weather is really amazing and feels good. So, in the morning I was hoping that this is the perfect day for capturing pictures and doing some experiments on droplets.
Okay so, first of all, I wanna say, I have edited these pictures a lot plus played with shade shadow. Basically, I thought I should experiment with shadow so the concept of these pictures are mostly based on darkness and I wanted to highlight these droplets.
"Every dew-drop and rain-drop had a whole heaven within it."
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I have used my smartphone to capture these pictures and edited them with a play store application. I really had a lot of fun playing with droplets. I know some are not properly focused and I tried to create depth and tried to highlight those crystal droplets as much as possible.
"When we contemplate the whole globe as one great dewdrop, striped and dotted with continents and islands, flying through space with other stars all singing and shining together as one, the whole universe appears as an infinite storm of beauty.”
-John Muir
Some people were really curious and wanted to know what I was doing. Some were moving around to see what exactly I am doing and I really enjoyed their curiosity face. I wish I could tell them why I am capturing these pictures.. Hahaha... It was fun...
"Words are things, and a small drink of ink, falling like dew upon a thought, produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think."
-Lord Byron
I know micro and macro lens are the best for this kind of photography but anyway as I don't have it so I have to work with my smartphone as much as possible. My next target is using iPhone 5s which is really old one but I should give it a try.
"Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time like dew on the tip of a life."
-Rabindranath Tagore
“As dew leaves the cobweb lightly
Threaded with stars,
Scattering jewels on the fence
And the pasture bars;
As dawn leaves the dry grass bright
And the tangled weeds
Bearing a rainbow gem
On each of their seeds;...
― Sara Teasdale
I really had a lot of fun playing with green colors and dark effects, I felt dark effects is the best option to highlight dewdrops or droplets. I will share some more captures like this in my next post.
And one more thing I wanna mention that, please don't feel that you can't do anything because you don't have proper gadgets. Start first and you will find your own way.
“I live there...
Far above the song-filled clouds,
where the dewdrops touch my skin so bare
I live there.”
―Sanober Khan, A touch, a tear, a tempest
