People say Dogs are humans' best companions and I think they are absolutely right. I am a dog lover and I had 3 dogs so far. All are okay and healthy but now they are at my native home. So, when I migrated here, in Ukraine, I decided when I will settle a little bit, I will adopt a dog for myself. So, after thinking a lot I decided to adopt a labrador puppy this time. Those who follow my videos and blog posts, you know I always write about my Dog Gigi or featured her as a model of my Videos. Today I am going to reintroduce her once again to the Hive Pet community.
Gigi is a 5 months old pure labrador retriever girl puppy though she looks like a big dog. Those who are familiar with the labrador retriever, know how fast they grow up and about their characteristics as well. Before adopting her, I had to think a lot about whether I will be able to handle her or not because a labrador retriever is a very active dog. She is a very friendly loyal dog who loves to play all the time. She hates hot weather and loves water and snow so much.
Honestly speaking raising a labrador puppy in a small flat is not so easy. Not only she needs a lot of training but also she needs activities too otherwise she destroys fabric, walls, shoes, socks, and almost everything. As she is still a puppy so she loves to explore everything and her exploration means chewing and nibbling. If she feels bored she starts to destroy my entire home. Mostly she attacks my cables, floor mats, and walls. She drew many paintings already on my wall and I have to fix that soon before my landlord notices...
So far she destroyed many things of mine, for example, cables, socks, my t-shirts, her plastic bowl and one pair of shoes. Now you can ask me why don't you give her toys? She has a lot of toys and she plays with them too but she still wants more. The good thing is she doesn't bark at all, she stays silent but yea she loves chewing everything. Every day she needs 30 minutes of exercise but I guess that's not enough. So, regularly I have to take her for 30 minutes walk and I have to give her at least 1 hour alone. I mean I have to play with her at least for 1 hour.
She is an outdoor dog, she loves playing outside and love to become dirty as well. As she is still a puppy so slowly she is learning everything. She is an intelligent dog and a quick learner too.
She has beautiful eyes and that is my weak point. Her eyes always melt my heart and force me to love her more. Her eyes are so expressive and feel like she is talking to me through her eyes. Honestly speaking she is a good dog who provides genuine loyalty towards me. She knows me and she tries to understand me and try to adjust to me always. She is a foodie and can eat everything whenever she gets the chance.
At night when I become so tired, she stays quiet and just comes to me for a belly rub. Slowly she falls asleep and goes to her dream world. She is a super protective/possessive dog when it comes to protecting me plus also a jealous dog. She wants my attention all the time...
This is Gigi, my best friend, part of my life, and my best buddy...
