I grew them from potato cuttings, and last summer the vines flourished, growing tall & creeping up and across my kitchen window. then winter came and the poor things froze and became half the size - I had to cut a lot of it off. then the constant stack of the aphids in spring - I honestly nearly threw the plant out, these horrid little monsters love my sweet potato plant so much! I treated the plant with pesticide after trying multiple natural treatments, to no avail. THEN, a while ago, I was trimming the vines, and lo and behold, a tuber! My baby had a baby! Joyous Day! Yesterday I was beyond estatic to see this pretty purple flower reaching for the light, the first flower this plant has ever made. it was gone this morning, and in its place, five small buds, which I assume have more baby flowers in them.
