A joke is something everyone can make especially with your friends and family but the way we take jokes is different from each other because words have meaning to some people while it doesn't to others.
I have mentioned before that we have more girls in the family than boys so anytime we have anything to do at home the girls always gather to play and joke while we help each other out with some other things.
I am a hairdresser so I do make hair for all my sisters while my junior sister is a tailor, she will be the one to sew all our clothes. Every other people will seat and crack jokes while we are busy with work.
So it happened that one of my elder sisters was about to get married so we all went home as usual. I was busy making hair while my junior sister is on her machine sewing everyone's cloth and she was the only married woman among us back then aside from the one we came to do.
Everyone was talking about their boyfriend and my junior sister too talked about her husband so my sister that was getting married made a joke about my sister's husband and it all went wrong.
My junior sister got mad at what she said about her husband and left the cloth she was sewing. At first, we thought she went to take something but some minutes later she didn't return so we all went looking for her.
She was hiding at the back of a big drum in my mom's house and started crying as if someone beats her. When we got there we all begged her for making her cry because it wasn't intentional it was a joke meanwhile the joke made her cry.
She came back and everyone was talking again about children so that nobody will say something that will hurt another again but this time it was my junior sister that said something awful to the person getting married.
So my sister that was getting married told my junior sister to take her child to daycare so that she won't disturb her anytime she was working and the next thing my junior sister said was, "sister, you can't understand because you haven't given birth". She was laughing when she said that and everyone too was laughing at what she said.
Meanwhile, my elder sister was angry and then she shouted at us saying, "how can you make a such joke? And you all know how hard have been trying to have a child". Then we all realized that the joke was completely gone wrong.
Making jokes with one another is what we like in our family but sometimes some jokes us fight because it might be what that person is struggling with that someone else will make jokes with then everything will go out of hand.
But still, we didn't stop loving each other or playing and cracking jokes with one another because we are family so getting mad at each other is a normal thing, and amending what we said to stop the misunderstanding is normal too.
