Hello everyone, welcome to HL Creative-Sunday, and Happy Sunday to you all, I pray this week favors us all. Your girl Princess-Dara is here again to give you another way of preparing a delicious stew for white rice, aside from the usual stew we all use. People say shawa is a broke people's favorite fish but I don't think that is true, some people eat shawa because it has more protein than every other fish. I love using shawa whenever I want to make my rice stew because it gives it a very sweet taste and the aroma too is very good.
Today I will be preparing fish stew for white rice for my Creative-Sunday, some people prefer can fish (saddin) meanwhile not everyone can afford to use that whenever they want to make fish stew, so instead of that I chose shawa and the taste was so good.
Ingredients are:
Fish (shawa)
Cowskin (ponmo)
Onion
Groundnut oil
Pepper (anyone you could afford)
Seasoning cube and salt.
Preparation
As you can see the ingredients are very few but the outcome was very delicious, you all should try this out and thank me later.
Step 1
I cut the fish into pieces and then washed it thoroughly, after that I poured it inside a clean pot, I also washed the cowskin as well, I added salt, and then boiled everything for some minutes.
When the fish was done I debone the fish, and I also cut the cowskin into pieces. The main reason why I parboiled the cowskin was because it doesn't get done easily and I also wanted the salt to get into the cowskin very well.
Step 2
I put a pot on the burner and then allowed it to dry before adding groundnut oil to it, I allowed it to get hot after getting hot I poured my blended pepper into it. I allowed it to fry for some minutes.
Step 3
I added my deboned fish and sliced cowskin into the stew and turned it. I added seasoning and salt as well then let it fry for some minutes.
Step 4
I sliced onions into the stew, the reason why I added my already fried fish into the stew then turned it gently so that the sauce would get into it very well.
My white rice was boiled already so now my fish stew is ready and here is the outcome of all the explanation.
