The truth is bitter but better
Anywhere I find myself, I always make sure that I say the truth not because it is important to say but because we can't lie forever, and whether we like it all or not, the truth will always reveal itself.
Meanwhile, when I was younger. I learned that truth is bitter but is it better than telling a lie in all ways.
If you have worked in a factory before, you would understand that the place is always filled with people of different characters because we all have different backgrounds so we all can never be the same.
I worked in a factory where I deal with a lot of people with different characters and behavior. The factory produced noodles and they run both morning and night shifts. Night shift is always fun except for the fact that we have to deprive ourselves of sleep.
There was a day one lady took 3 sachets of noodles and I saw her squeezing them inside her bag in the locker room. She just got employed a month ago, I knew the consequences of what she did so I confronted her to return the noodles which she did that day. On my way home she ran after me and asked why I didn't let her take the noodles home because she doesn't have what to eat at home.
Then I replied to her, "It is better to stay hunger at home than be jobless at home because of just 3 sachets of noodles". She didn't understand what I meant by that quote, we both path our ways that day.
Five days after, we got to work, did everything, and were set to leave when I saw this same lady's picture at the gate. The security guy said that she was caught with some sachet of noodles when they checked her while leaving the company premises.
Her picture was taken while holding the items and it was pasted on the notice board at the security gate so that everyone could know her crimes.
They do that always to scare and prevent people from stealing at work.
We met again outside the work premises and I said to her again, "Now you are jobless because of the thing I warned you about. She couldn't hold back tears because I have warned her never to take anything from the factory home.
The reason why I didn't report her the day I saw her was because I know she will be sacked and I don't want to be the one sending someone away because of just 3 sachets of noodles so confronting her was what I thought was the best thing to do to save her face from being pasted on the noticed board as a thief.
But she put herself there all by herself, I am not saying that I am perfect but there are sometimes we just need to do the right thing to save ourselves and someone beside us.
Note: all the images belongs to me they were taking some years ago when I was working in a factory.
