Earlier this morning, I had gone outside to sit with some of the boys because they had all to go for a run and decided to sit outside for a bit and just catch up with one another.

While we were all seated there, two ladies had walked up to us and offered to preach the gospel, to which the majority of us accepted. But while they were preaching, some of the guys had, for some reason, thought it would be a good idea to flirt with the ladies.

And they did this to the point where some of the guys had to leave them alone because it went from the word of God to the word of the world, and I'm sure the guys flirting probably would have stopped if the ladies had even given any sign of discomfort, but they didn't. They actually looked like they were enjoying the conversation.

Which brings me to my question. In a bid to win a soul for Christ, should one have to entertain people like this, hoping that somewhere along the line, those people will change, or should they just leave them and not bother trying to help them repent from their sinful ways?

And I ask this because on one hand, you might be able to successfully convert them the right way, but then what if the reverse becomes the case and you find yourself backsliding, simply because you had refused to walk away from the very first day you spoke to them and realized they weren't interested in the word you came to preach?

It's basically like you trying to get someone to quit smoking, but they instead tell you that they will quit if you smoke with them just once. Do you do it, knowing that you might like the feeling and end up becoming a smoker yourself, or do you just leave them to their fate and go your way?
