Few days ago, I travelled to a different state because I had some business to handle over there, and on my way back, I did something that wasn't only stupid, but was reckless and something I usually wouldn't do.

I'm currently doing a one year service program for my country and this requires me to sometimes travel between two states because of some the things I have to handle. Well on this particular day, after doing some clearance on the service that had required me to travel, I was on my way back when for some reason our driver decided it was a good idea to mess with the police officers that had roadblocks on the road.

They ended up taking his papers and refused to give it back to him, as a way to punish him, leaving us the passengers stranded. While we all stood by the side of the road, waiting for the driver and the officer to come to an agreement, a bus carrying about three guys, plus the driver (making them four guys) had stopped and asked if I was a corper (it's the name of the one year service), he had recognized the uniform I had on.

And when I told him yes, he had offered to give me a lift. Now considering the amount of insecurity in the country, jumping into a stranger's vehicle like that was something no one should do, but for some reason I found myself trusting this guys and foolishly jumped in with them.

Luckily for me, they turned out genuine good guys who only wanted to help and nothing bad happened. But after I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about the whole thing and how reckless for me to do what I did. Because what if those guys were kidnappers or something like that, I probably wouldn't even be making this post right now.
