What is the cost of living in your country or region ? ?
My name is Pravil sabu and I just completed my graduation in civil engineering. I’m new at #HIVE and my friend @arunbiju969 suggest me about the contest conducted by #OCD as part of supporting hive users and aiming to increase subscriptions and engagements on particular communities. And I’m happy to post my views on the mentioned topic in #homeedders.competitions like this helps me to improve my research skill more over writing skills. And I’m very excited to announce that I’m new at the field of writing and this my second try.
Let’s roll on to the topic.
India is the 7th largest country in the world and have a population of 136.64Cr(second biggest).India's GDP is estimated to contract by 7.7% in 2020 -21 compared to the growth rate of 4.2% in 2019 -20.India is very cheap relative to many other nations. The cost of living depends on what you’re doing and where you’re living in India.
It's been estimated that ,basic living expense cost only 15000 - 20000INR monthly including food, water and shelter. Even though India is struggling in GDP growth and in unemployment, from my life experience I learned how to survive it by proper money management.
Lets divide the scenario in 4 sections food, transportation, health care and rent.

Even though India has food sufficiency in production, still accounts for a quarter of the world's hungry people and home to over 190 million undernourished people. … While agriculture in India has achieved grain self-sufficiency but the production is, resource intensive, cereal centric and regionally biased. We imports only 3.973% food from other countries. By the existence of these situation I rathe prefer homely food than ready-mades hotel food. It helps in reducing daily margin and also to eat nutritious food. It will cost 160INR for food if we consume it from hotel for a single day, but it's easy to hold back amount up to 90INR by truing to homely food.
TRANSPORTATION

The Indian transport network offers you a range of services that fit you. It depends entirely on how you want to travel and what kind of comfort you want on your trip. Most of the people in India depends train ,because of its low charges, can carry a lot commodities and frequent services. Not only train, public transportation also cost less. But in this situation it is necessary to mention the tremendous increase in the price of petrol and diesel day by day. We almost used to pay same amount of petrol and diesel as it's tax .So it is not a good idea to use personal vehicle for day to day life. So by using public transportation we can manage the amount what we spent for transportation.

HOUSE RENT.

In India, renting housing is much more lucrative than buying land. Monthly rent is inexpensive enough compared to the rest of the cities worldwide. One-bedroom apartment in the city centre is INR.10,000, while the same space outside the city centre is INR.5000, so perfect if you’re going to share the bill with a mate or rent a house in country side and choose public transportation to reach there. It will helps to contract the monthly expense. I was a hosteler for my entire period of graduation and we use to share rooms in order to share the rent.
HEALTH CARE

Public healthcare is free for every Indian resident. The Indian public health sector encompasses 18% of total outpatient care and 44% of total inpatient care. Consulting fees and hospital expenses is higher in private sectors in India. But the government made it much easier but constructing government hospitals through out the nation. And in my region they function properly. But the major drawback is they are still in the stage of development. They haven’t reached full sufficiency. Because of this we still depends private hospitals for serious cases or which need modern machineries. And I found a way to compensate this huge expense is Insurance schemes. Why can’t we allocate a small amount as monthly or yearly premium to eliminate a sudden financial burden. there by we can manage expense over medical care.
These are my findings on Indian economy." Even though India is a poor nation, by proper management of money we can attain financial stability to a certain extend. "
