Many people I know think that you need a lot of money to be happy in life. Most of them think that all they need to become happy is money. Money of course helps but it's not the only "thing" that matter. Money can buy you many things and I don't want to discourage people from going after it as you can get a more comfortable lifestyle. But it doesn't necessarily mean you will be magically happy all the time.
People tend to earn beyond their needs (study), mainly because we don't know how much is "enough" or to have some kind of a buffer for emergencies and for leaving an inheritance for their family. But they fail to stop and evaluate what they achieve and appreciate that. Often they just don't give enough time to their families or friends and miss on life much more than they realise.
Bronnie Ware, worked as a nurse in a palliative care, shared the most common regrets by people in their death beds were: #2 "I wish I hadn't worked so hard." and #4 "I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends." and on #5 "I wish I had let myself be happier." source
Recently, I came across a study that reported, 9 out of 10 people are willing to earn less money to do more meaningful work (source).

On Average, American workers in this survey responded saying that they are willing to let go of 23% of their future earnings to have a meaningful job. And what can be more meaningful in someone's life other than changing our focus more on happiness and how can we help others have it, be that spending more time with your loved one's or actually doing some work which you love in doing not just for the money.
I would like to share some of the ways which make me happy, they might make you too
Listening to Music: Music is much more powerful than we realise. I love to listen to music and it makes me feel better.
Doing What you Love: Don't let someone else tell you what you could or couldn't do.
Don't delve too much into the negative side, focus on the Positives: One can easily take any situation and look at from both sides but why would you focus on the negative aspect of the situation when there is a lot of positives in almost every situation.
Traveling: I know most of us like to travel and have fun. Travel does give us a lot of happiness and help us in gathering some of the most memorable moments of our life.
Spending Time with Friends and Family: What better way to spend the time than by having some laughs with your folks.
Doing a random act of Kindness: Doing some random act of kindness will help you feel much better.
Being Creative: Creativity helps in overcoming certain emotions and make us feel better. People can choose to show their emotions using creative methods like painting, music, dance, writing etc.
And many more. You do what makes you feel happy, everyone is unique, your way of bringing happiness might be completely different from mine.
Do what you love to do and give it your very best. Whether it's business or baseball, or the theatre, or any field. If you don't love what you're doing and you can't give it your best, get out of it. Life is too short. You'll be an old man before you know it.

Let me come back to the original question, Can you be happy without MONEY? I would love to know your views about it. Until then, Smile and be happy 🙂.
