Hello everyone @diyhub community, today i am glad to share with you all the dress i made for my friend's daughter.
I really had a great time today, and today was less stressful.
Today i went through my stuff to see if i could find any extra ankara fabric
Luckily for me i found one but for some reason i didn't really like the fabric.
So i snap it and sent to my friend to ask her daughter if she likes the fabric
Well, she called back immediately and told me that she loves it and the next question was,"aunty please can i get it now?"
I laughed and told her that i needed to sew it first
And i quickly told the mum that she can pick it up in the evening time.
Well, with her previous measurements i had i was set out to work.
Here are the few materials i used
The first steps i took was really simple,i cut out some part of the fabric,i bend the down part of it by sewing and i created gathers with the upper part, then i attached it lining to it.
The next step was for the top
So,i used her measurements for shoulder, burst and waist and u created zip allowance for it
Hence, after all the cutting my job was easier and so i joined the lining to each of it pieces and i sewed it all through.
Thankfully i finished up on time and the dress was ready.
And her mom promised to puck it up this evening.
I will be more excited when she finally sees it
