Hello everyone 😻,
Happy Thursday, and a very warm welcome to my report. As always thank you for stopping by, am just about to break down my stepping of the day and also share some of the trending stories that caught my eye.
Let's take it away 💨.
I began my day with a bit of walking around the neighbourhood, a wonderful sunny morning as I made my way.
Next I was back indoors, did a few stretches and continued with the usual house chores.
My next stepping came at around noon, going out for groceries to get the lunch going. The sun🌞 was still making for such a beautiful day
I did finish off the day, with a long walk around the park this evening.
So that was the stepping and now let's get into the global trending stories.
In Gaza the mass murder kept going with 121 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting Hamas positions😿.
In one of the deadliest strikes 61 people mostly women and children were killed in Khan Younis. In some areas only body parts could be picked up amidst splatttered blood🙀.
3 medical facilities that are supposed to be a place of healing and refuge were hit hard even though they are protected under international law. No where in Gaza is safe from imminent attack🙀.
Also trending, Palestinians both in Gaza and West Bank are marking 77 years of Nakba or the great catastrophe.
760,000 Palestinians fled or were forcibly displaced in violence during the creation of Israel in May 1948🙀.
Since then Israel keeps taking more and more bits of Palestinian land illegally😿.
Across the border in Israel, sirens went off and people rushed to safety as the defence system intercepted a missile launched from Yemen by the houthis🙀.
In the other war, Putin was a no show in the talks between him and Zelensky😹.
However he sent a delegation. Critics saying nothing will come off the talks. Trump himself said nothing will happen until he and Putin meet.
Speaking of Trump, he is still in the middle east, having lavish dinners and negotiating billions of dollar contracts with the rich Arabs. Meanwhile, not far off their brothers in Gaza are being killed by American bombs supplied to Netanyahu. It's a crazy world🙀.
Anyway Trump was in UAE, the last country on his itinerary. Before leaving Qatar, he stopped to address troops at the largest US base there holding over 10,000 american troops.
So that's it for today as we look forward to an amazing high five Friday ahead.
