TGIF 🎊🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report. The first weekend of September is upon us. Definitely thank you for stopping by and let's just dive into my day and also the trending stories of the day.
You know the drill, come on 💨.
So this morning I was out for my morning walk around the neighborhood.
However, fifteen minutes into the walk I had to get back indoors due to some annoying drizzling 🌧️😹.
So I was back indoors, handling the usual chores around the house.
Throughout the morning I was watching some youtube and trending stories.
In the afternoon, I was back on more YouTube and checked out Twitter too.
That btc dip leaving many fearing a bear 🐻 market😹. But please keep buying the dip💯.
My final walk was the usual slow paced sunset 🌄 walk. As I left for the walk it looked quite dull so I decided to carry an umbrella. Am glad I did as the rain 🌧️ caught me along the main road😹.
Anyways I had more than an hour of walking and made it back safe and sound calling it a day.
So let's now proceed with the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
As always, starting off in Gaza, another bloody day unfolded as 33 Palestinians were killed this Friday in Israeli airstrikes 😿. As of today 40,800 Palestinians have been killed since October 7😭.
Not far off, am American activist has been killed in an Israeli shooting in the occupied west bank😿. She was part of a protest against Israeli expansion of illegal settlements. That shooting still under investigation.
Still in the occupied west bank, Israel forces ended a ten day raid in the city of Jenin. Leaving behind major destruction, some roads dug up, sewage and communication systems in ruins🙀.
A procession through the city as funerals were held for 21 Palestinians killed during that raid.
Here in UK, a man has been jailed for 9 years for starting a fire at a hotel housing asylum seekers during last month's protests. It's the longest sentence yet🙀.
Germany trending as US secretary of defense Lloyd Austin hosted president Zelensky at a military airbase.
The US has pledged a further $250 million in financing and military aid💯. The German defence minister also pledging aircraft to help in the war.
The US has been the biggest backer of Ukraine and has spent close to $55 billion since Russia invaded Ukraine🙀.
Speaking of the US, Trump trending as his sentencing in the hush money trial has been postponed until after the election. Remember he was found guilty in that case😹. A major win for Trump, I wonder what will happen if he wins the presidency, is he liable to serve time or will he be free automatically😹.
On the other side of the world, China trending as super typhoon Yagi made landfall in Hanan province. Over 400,000 people forced to evacuate as that storm comes with crazy winds and lots of rain☔🙀.
Finally, the summer of 2024 has been the hottest on record🙀. Humans need to stop it💯, if not we will see more crazy weather patterns in coming years😿.
