Hello everyone 😻,
Happy Thursday 🎊 and a very warm welcome to my report. It's been another ordinary day stepping it out and getting on with life.
As always thank you for reading, and without further ado let's get into how my day went including the trending stories.
So I woke up to a sunny 🌞 morning but that faded away quite fast😹. I did manage to walk around the park for about 30 minutes.
The chilly wind made me head back indoors quite fast as the rain started.
Next I was indoors doing some of the usual daily chores. Then following up with some news and trending stories.
The afternoon saw me out again at the bus station heading to check on some documents. It was windy and a little bit of drizzling 🌧️.
I was back indoors much later, rested for a while. Then as the evening set in, I decided to get out in the neighborhood for the sunset 🌄 walk.
No sunset 🌄 views though, heavily cloudy ☁️ with some drizzling as I made my way back.
So that has been my dull day😹. Anyways lets liven things up with the trending stories of the day.
As always we begin in the middle east. Gaza trending as good things are happening with the polio vaccination campaign. WHO are saying that they are hitting targets getting to majority of children💯.
However, Israel has been accused of blocking the vaccination teams in the south🙀.
Still in Gaza, 21 Palestinians have been killed across the strip this Thursday as Israeli airstrikes kept going😿.
Sticking with the same story, heavy gun fire was heard in the occupied west bank as Israel engaged Palestinian fighters in Jenin🙀. It's the 9th day of the raid in that area. Israel says it's flashing out thugs who attack its citizens.
Across the border, Tel Aviv protests entered a 5th day. Protesters angry at Netanyahu saying he has abandoned the remaining captives as he pursues Hamas🙀.
In Europe, France trending as president Macron appointed Michel Barnier as PM, 60 days after that snap election that saw his party lose so many seats🙀.
Michel will now form a government.
In Africa, Congo trending as it received it's first batch of mpox vaccines from Europe to help curb the spread of mpox.
There have been more than 15,000 cases reported, half of which are children. 650 deaths have also been reported😿.
WHO says that with vaccination, the spread of the virus can be contained in less than 6 months💯.
Then a sad case in Kenya, a Ugandan athlete who was doused in petrol and set a light by her boyfriend has died after 4 days in hospital😿. They had been having a dispute over a piece of land. She was in Paris for the Olympics and had won a bronze medal. Sincere condolences💯.
Across the pond in the US,Trump trending as he pleaded not guilty to four felony charges of election interference😹.
Also in court, Hunter Biden has pleaded guilty to federal tax evasion😹. He is accused of avoiding at least $1.4 million in taxes while enjoying lucrative income from business dealings🙀.
Lets get to Asia, Indonesia trending as Pope Francis is in Jakarta where he held mass at a 🏟️ stadium. Many people out to see him and attend.
Finally, attention seeking north Korea has sent more than 400 rubbish balloons across the border into south Korea😹. It's not the first time they are doing it, they've been sending household trash for a while. Crazy world 🤪.
Anyways, see you again tomorrow on a high five Friday. Good night 😴 and Adios ❤️. Hakuna Matata 😻
