So today, I had a short morning walk going for groceries around the neighborhood. Then I was indoors most of the time. Took care of house chores and cooking....
I watched some youtube and also followed up on the trending stories. There were also some exciting matches going on in the EPL.
My final walk was this evening, the usual sunset 🌄 walk. A nice, long walk around the neighborhood, and then back home. Before that I met my favourite kitty sitting by the fence, as always he was surprised to see me but friendly...
Now let's get into some of the trending stories.
As always lets begin in the middle east. Gaza trending as another bloody day unfolded🙀. 61 Palestinians killed in the strip as Israeli airstrikes targeted Al Ahli hospital and surrounding areas😿.
Meanwhile, the polio vaccination campaign will be kicking off tomorrow to stop the deadly disease that had been eradicated but has made a comeback due to deteriorating sanitation conditions worsened by war😿.
Not for off in the occupied west bank, the town of Jenin is under siege as Israel kept up the raids🙀. Ambulances not allowed in as bombardment continued.
70% of the roads have been ripped out and dug through🙀.
In Israel thousands of protesters rallied in Tel Aviv asking for the release of captives being held in Gaza saying Netanyahu had not done enough to reach a deal with Hamas for their release.
In Europe, Russia pushed on a key Ukrainian city while Ukraine's Kursk incursion slowed down🙀.
In Germany, the far right is eyeing a political earthquake as two German states head for polls on Sunday🙀.
The afd is on the cusp of winning the most votes for the first time since the nazis🙀.
For some in Germany, the rise of afd is a literal nightmare. But others, particularly in the east, say afd is a chance for change😹.
Across the pond, the oropouche virus has been detected in central and south America. It is endemic in the Amazon area, the good news is that it's not that deadly and most people fully recover💯.
Finally, Brazil trending as a judge ruled to block the x website for dis information🙀.
Owner of x, Elon musk terming the ruling horrible calling that judge a dictator against free speech.
X is banned in many countries including Pakistan, Turkey, Venezuela, China, North Korea, Russia, Uzbekistan, Egypt. There could be more.
They say they are protecting their citizens😹 or is it hiding the truth, they say the truth hurts, it's a crazy world🤪.
