So today, I had a short morning walk going for groceries around the neighborhood. Then I was indoors most of the time.
I watched some of the Olympics action and also followed up on the trending stories.
My final walk was this evening, the usual sunset 🌄 walk. A nice, long walk around the neighborhood, and then back home.
Now let's get into some of the trending stories.
Far right groups have protested in cities across the UK🙀.
Still in the UK, huge pro Palestinian protests were held in London. Protesters calling on the new PM not to support the arming of Israel.
Related to this, Gaza trending as Israeli airstrikes hit another 'safe zone' hitting a school housing displaced Palestinians killing upto 17😿.
Not far off Tel Aviv trending as huge anti govt protesters turned out🙀. Calling on Netanyahu to resign and call for election. Asking how a ceasefire would be achieved after the head of Hamas was assassinated🙀.
Across the pond in the US, Trump and running mate are campaigning in Atlanta. He says Kamala Harris will be an easier candidate to beat compared to Biden😹.
US politics heating up but time will tell who will win come November.
A little further down, Venezuela trending as huge protests witnessed, protesters asking for election results to be overturned. Accusing Maduro of sham/fake election🙀.
Lets finish in Paris, many hotels and shop owners are decrying the shortage of tourists even as Olympics action continues. People probably keeping off due to high accomodations prices🙀.
Am sure the Olympics made prices rise all across the city of Paris😹.Close to 50 million people were expected but only 11 million have made it.
Meanwhile, Simone Biles kept shining in gymnastics adding to her collection of gold 🏅 medals. Congratulations 🎉 to her 💯.
