Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. We are onto a new week and hopefully you are having a great day this far. Mine has been ok and as the day draws to a close, am raring to go with some of the day's trending news and my stepping activities. Thank you for stopping by yet again and let's get cracking 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹.
Globally, Gaza trending as ceasefire talks kept going in Cairo. Mixed messages on truce talks as Hamas and Israel deny any progress has been made🙀.
Gazans have returned to devastation in Khan Younis. They described widescale destruction as thousands went back home after Israeli forces pulled out. It's gonna take many years to rebuild😿.
In Israel, PM Netanyahu has said a date has been set on when to attack Rafa in south Gaza🙀.
He has already been warned by US and other western nations about attacking Rafa and the high casualty rate of civilians.
Also trending, Nicaragua has taken Germany to UN court for abetting genocide by supplying Israel with weapons used in Gaza🙀. German arms sales to Israel jumped from $32 million to over 300 million once the war started.
In the other war, Russia and Ukraine are feuding over dangerous attack on Zaporizhizhia nuclear power plant🙀. Talk about playing with fire, serious fire😹.
Across the pond, millions of spectators in Mexico, US and Canada gathered to witness the total solar eclipse. The moon 🌕 blocked the sun 🌞 for a total of four minutes and 28 seconds bringing totally darkness at midday🙀. Confusing animals, birds 🐦 and insects😹.
The next total solar eclipse will occur in 21 years, that will be 2045. In Kenya à total solar eclipse will occur in 2041, I looked it up😹.
