Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉, and a very warm welcome to my world 😊.It's been another lovely sunny day that I enjoyed. Its also the last day of Feb, long Feb as its a leap year with all 29 days😻. Anyhow, I know you have many other things to do, so am definitely grateful you stopped by. Let's proceed to take a look at how my day has been plus some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A little cloudy but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the city centre for some errands; nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a nice day.
Globally, another horrendous and devastating day in Gaza as more than 100 Palestinians killed as they rushed to aid trucks to get food😿.
Israeli troops fired live bullets into the crowd saying they felt threatened🙀.
A horrific scene as bleeding bodies lay on the ground while the injured were rushed to Al shifa hospital. The hospital itself overwhelmed as there's shortage of medicine and supplies🙀.
The total death toll since October 7 is now 30,035 Palestinians killed😭.
Algeria called it a massacre and has called for an emergency UN security council meeting.
Also trending Palestinian factions of Fatah and Hamas are meeting in Moscow to discuss forming a unified Palestinian govt and rebuilding of Gaza.
Speaking of Russia, during a state of the nation speech, Putin has vowed to use nuclear if western countries deploy troop in Ukraine🙀.Macron had hinted at that earlier.
Elsewhere, Ukraine says it shot down a Russian fighter jet, bringing the total number to 12 in the past ten days.
Russia is taking advantage of Ukraine ammunition shortage to make moves on the front lines🙀.
In crazy weather, wild fires are raging in Texas, According to authorities they are the worst wildfires in recorded history. They have spread as far as Oklahoma destroying homes and forcing residents to evacuate🙀.
Finally, the city of Cobjain in Bolivia has been declared a disaster zone following days of heavy rainfall that has caused severe flooding🙀. Experts blaming the El nino effect. All well that ends well 💯.
