Happy hump day 😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I have had another great day that am deeply thankful for. So we are bang in the middle of the week and the stepping continued unabated. Time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been plus what caught my eye 👀 in the media streets. So thank you for stopping by and lets dive in💨.
So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃.In between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also in crypto.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. The Ethiopian PM is on a state visit to Kenya, met his counterpart for talks, trade deals signed.
Globally, another deadly day in Gaza as Israeli airstrikes kept going. 76 people dead in 24 hours😿. The death toll since October 7, is now nearing 30,000😭.
On top of that hunger and starvation growing among civilians. UN warns that one in four Palestinians is affected by hunger. Children suffering from malnutrition🙀 as widespread famine starts. Aid is needed like yesterday.
In Europe, UK trending as the high court in Belfast ruled that north Ireland troubles' act breaches human rights convention🙀. The north Ireland troubles' legacy & reconciliation act was introduced in 2021 by Boris Johnson's govt. Survivors of crimes committed in the troubles' era said the law was unconstitutional.
Across the pond in the US, Trump won the Michigan primaries for republicans while Biden won for the democrats. However Gaza protest sends message to Biden, he will lose many votes from the Arab American population due to supporting Israel🙀.
In Asia, south Korea trending as a report shows a steep population decline🙀. South Korea has recorded world's lowest fertility rate.There are now more 70 year olds than 20 year olds😹. The low birth rate blamed on pressure on young people to compete.
Finally, some crypto news as bitcoin touched over 60k, we are so close to that high of 69k last cycle. Most analysts predicting over 100k incoming this cycle.
Alts are expected to soar too, the bull market is here😹.
