Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this new week and this day too. As it comes to an end, am raring to go with my stepping activities as well as some of the stories that caught my eye 👀. Let's dive in 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. I did enjoy that fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹. Otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, another devastating day in Gaza as Israel intensified airstrikes and gunfire in Khan Younis😿. At least 50 killed in the area of Nasser hospital. Palestinians had to bury their dead in the hospital compound as gunfire rang outside.
Meanwhile, food is running out fast in most places in Gaza, UN warning of a looming famine🙀.
In Israel, relatives of Israeli captives still held in Gaza stormed a parliamentary meeting demanding the govt do more to bring their loved ones home.
Elsewhere, protesters have gathered outside a house owned by PM Netanyahu in the town of Haifa😹.
Let's go Europe, EU foreign ministers are meeting in Brussels to discuss the way forward in that Gaza war. Most of them feel a two state solution with an independent Palestine is the way to go.
Across the pond in the US, Haley finally gets her solo showdown with Trump in the New Hampshire primaries as Florida governor DeSantis stepped down in favour of Trump . Let's see how that turns out for her😹.
Let's go back to the other side, India trending as PM Modi opened a grand temple on the razed mosque site🙀. That mosque had been in existence since the 16th century but was brought down in the 90's. He is running for reelection later in the year, which may explain such moves😹.
Finally, a landslide in china has buried 47 people in south western province of Yunnan in China🙀. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😭.
