Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Sunday, happy new year 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Just another ordinary Sunday and the stepping continued unabated. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Think of all those who have lost their lives in the Middle east😭. Anyway thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some groceries. Next came the refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news.
The matches of AFCON were quite exciting even the EPL especially man u and tottenham😹.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Its currently raining cats and dogs and i hope the power won't cut off.
Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, the world's attention still on the middle east. Sunday marked 100 days since the bombing started in Gaza. Israel is not relenting and kept going. 125 people dead in 24 hours and total death toll at 23,968😭.
There has been massive damage in Gaza strip from homes, schools, churches, mosques, historical sites and most hospitals slowly going out of service if not shut😿.
Meanwhile the protests continued in Tel Aviv demanding the release of 136 captives held by Hamas. PM Netanyahu has vowed that the war will go on until Israel achieves its objectives🙀. Families of captives worried that they could be killed in the ongoing bombing.
Let's go to Europe where Denmark trending as 🤴 prince Frederik was crowned king after his mother stepped down from the throne. Congratulations 🎉 to him and long may he reign🎊.
In Germany the farmers are getting ready to continue with their protests tomorrow. Hopefully the government solves their problem.
Not far off in London, after yesterday's pro Palestinian march; Israel arranged it's own pro Israel march at Trafalgar square😹. Demonstrators came out carrying Israeli flags.
Across the pond in the US, republican candidates made final rush of appeals to voters in Iowa a day before the caucus voting starts. It's freezing cold up there🌨️❄️🥶.
Finally in crazy weather, lava flowed into the icelandic town of Grindavik after a volcano 🌋 erupted setting houses on fire🔥. Everything will be ok, all's well that ends well 💯.
