So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹.
Globally, the devastation in Gaza kept going. Khan Younis in the south was under heavy shelling by Israeli forces.
The death toll according to Gaza health ministry is at 23,708 dead and over 60,000 injured😭.
Also trending US and UK have launched strikes against Yemen's houthis. The houthis have vowed to retaliate🙀.
Let's go to Europe, Ukraine trending as British PM Rishi Sunak visited president Zelensky in Kyiv. He vowed that Ukraine will never be alone as he pledged £2•5 billion package 🎊🎉.
At the ICJ on day 2 of the genocide case. Israel has rejected accusations of genocide saying it was defending itself in a war that it didn't start🙀.
Across the pond in the US: a massive winter storm has begun rolling across the US and is predicted to bring dangerously cold temperature and severe weather through the weekend🙀. Do prepare and stay warm 💯.
Finally, the Asian cup kicked off today in Qatar. The hosts and defending champions thrilled fans with a win in the opening match against Lebanon.
