Happy Thursday, happy new year 🎉, and a very warm welcome to my world 😊.It's been another lovely day that I enjoyed. I know you have many other things to do, so am definitely grateful you stopped by. Let's proceed to take a look at how my day has been plus some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A little cloudy but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the city centre for some errands; nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a nice day.
Globally, Gaza still trending as the bombing devastation kept going 😿.
Israeli forces bombed central and southern areas of the Gaza strip in most recent strikes. According to Gaza health ministry the total death toll is now 22,438😭.
WFP says it faces a race against time to avert starvation for millions of people in Gaza🙀. Aid agencies say relief efforts are delayed despite UN resolution calling for more aid.
In Israel, defence minister Yoav Gallant said Hamas will not rule Gaza after conclusion of the war.
The other day, one of the ministers was calling for Israeli settlements in Gaza🙀.
In Beirut Lebanon, thousands attended the funeral of Hamas deputy leader Sàleh al Arouri who was assassinated in a Beirut apartment building. Many left shocked as the second floor of that building was targeted in a drone attack thought to have been carried out by Israeli intelligence.
Finally, across the pond in the US, Jeffrey Epstein list was trending. About 950 pages of court documents identifying of financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were made public yesterday. The documents unearthed sexual assault allegations against prince 🤴 Andrew. Donald Trump and Bill Clinton are also mentioned🙀. Epstein had a private island where famous people would visit for despicable parties sometimes with minors😡.
