Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this day💯. It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto , lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, the situation in Gaza remained the same, bombings went on in the south and north. The latest death toll 19,600😭.
Israeli army has confirmed that Jabaliya refugee camp in the north of Gaza was now totally under it's full control🙀
Also trending, Israeli president Isaac Herzog, says Israel is ready for a pause in hostilities paving the way for release of captives from Gaza💯.
In response Hamas released statement rejecting the prospect of negotiations while Israel continued offensive in Gaza. Hamas added they were open to any initiative that contributes to ending attacks on Palestinians and opens borders for aid to flow in.
Lets hope diplomacy works💯.
Across the pond in the US, UN security council is to vote on a halt in fighting in Gaza to allow aid into Gaza. The UN general assembly overwhelmingly approved a non binding resolution calling for a ceasefire. However, united States says that any resolution that has the words ceasefire only benefits Hamas🙀.
Trending in Europe, Ukrainian president Zelensky has said the army will require 500,000 new recruits. In February it will be two years since Russia invaded Ukraine 😿. The fighting goes on.
Iceland also trending as there are fears of gas pollution after a volcano 🌋 eruption. The eruption in south west Iceland, led to half the sky being lit up in red👀 oh wow🙀.
Finally, China rescuers are braving cold weather as quake toll mounts😭. The 6.2 magnitude earthquake flattened mountain villages in one of the country's poorest regions😿.
