Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈, happy holidays and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain, so give it up for him and other furry friends 😻. As for me I have had a great day stepping it out and just about now I wanna fill you in on how it went and also share some of the trending stories making headlines. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So as usual, I kicked off early with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning and I enjoyed the fresh morning breeze.
Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the shopping centre for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of you tube and some soccer matches.
The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹.
Globally, Israel trending as protesters gathered in Tel Aviv demanding release of captives held in Gaza by Hamas.
Then an outpouring of anger about the three Israeli captives who escaped from Hamas only to be shot by their own army😭. Even though the three of them were shirtless and one held a white flag😡. IDF says soldiers broke rules of engagement.
PM Netanyahu said immediate lessons have been learned calling the killing of captives and unbearable tragedy. He vowed to continue fighting Hamas with intensified bombing and land raids🙀.
Am just wondering, if someone is holding your loved ones captive and you keep attacking them, aren't you endangering the captives too😿. Once you try freeing hostages by force it's always a recipe for disaster💯.
Anyways, the Gaza fighting kept going, today a raid at Kamal Adwan hospital left 20 Palestinians dead😭. They were apparently ran over by Israeli bulldozers as they took refuge in the hospital complex.
Gaza health ministry says more than 8,000 people missing in the piles of rubble all over Gaza🙀.
Not far off, Kuwait trending after the Emir died aged 86, after ruling for three years😭. 40 day mourning period and three day closure of govt departments.
In Europe, a Vatican court has sentenced 75 year old cardinal to five and a half years in jail for financial crimes🙀. The 75 year old Italian was the most senior Vatican official ever to face such charges and once seen as a papal contender himself😹. He will definitely be appealing that decision.
Finally, in the UK, prince 🤴 Harry has won 15 claims in his case accusing mirror group newspapers of unlawfully gathering information for stories published about him🎉. He was awarded £140,600 in damages. His lawyer called the ruling vindicating and affirming💯.
