TGiF 🍷🍻 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The weekend is upon us yet again and I have had a great day. I am also truly grateful for this day, it's a blessing to be alive 💯. I thank you all of you for stopping by yet again. Time to wrap things up and quickly take a look at how my day has been plus share some trending stories. Let's get it 💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some errands done at the city centre. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹. Otherwise a nice sunny 🌞 day.
Globally, Gaza still trending as Israel continued it's bombing campaign today 450 targets hit🙀. Including Gaza's biggest and oldest mosque.
The death toll of the day is 300 hundred Palestinians killed the last 24 hours😭.
Hamas military wing say an Israeli captive soldier was killed during a raid by Israeli forces. Hamas said they pushed back Israeli forces trying to free captives.
Across the pond in the US, UN security council convened to discuss a draft resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
US says it does not support an immediate ceasefire since Hamas are still a threat to Israel.
Also trending Arab foreign ministers were meeting in Washington ahead of talks with secretary of state Anthony Blinken. They are demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Then a two state solution to finally end the tension in the middle east once and for all💯.
Finally, 71 year old, Vladimir Putin has said he will be running for president in the 2024 election. A move expected to keep him in power until at least 2030🙀.
Having literally gotten rid of all the opposition do expect him to run yet again in the 2030 election too😹. Only time will tell.
