TGiF 🍷🍻 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The weekend is upon us and 😹.I have had a great day which I am also truly grateful for😹, it's a blessing to be alive 💯. I thank you all for stopping by yet again. Time to wrap things up and quickly take a look at how my day has been plus share some trending stories. Let's get it 💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹.
Globally, all eyes 👀 on Gaza as the dire situation persists, Israel bombing continued unabated. Things are not good at Al shifa hospital where all patients in the ICU have died, premature newborns are dying too😭. No fuels to power the oxygen and run incubators😿.
So far, 12,000 Palestinians killed including over 5,000 children😡. There is no electricity and internet and phone lines down too. Israel has agreed to let in only two trucks of fuel a day which is just 6% of what is required😿.
Horror stories from hospitals where the injured are suffering. Operations being conducted without anaesthetic😿.
Also trending, warning sirens heard across cities in central Israel after Hamas military wing fired rockets into Israel from the Gaza strip🙀.
Then EU foreign policy chief was in Ramallah. He said the war on Gaza was due to political failure of the international community. Adding that Israel must respect international humanitarian law. Urging Israel not to act out of rage.
Across the pond in the US, president Biden spoke on phone with Qatari Emir discussing the urgent need to increase flow of aid into Gaza. The white house said both leaders also discussed the urgent need for Hamas captives to be released. Lets hope some diplomatic solution will be found to the whole mess💯.
