TGIF 🍻🍷 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The weekend is upon us and as always glad you stopped by yet again 👏. My day has been great and it's now that time of day to slow down and take a look at how things went and also what's trending in the media streets. Come on, let's take it away 💨.
So I started the day with a short brisk walk around the neighbourhood, today was a little warmer than yesterday which motivated me to keep going. Then I was back indoors for some resting and some of the little household chores here and there. Later in the afternoon I had some few errands at the city centre. Then back home I squeezed in the usual nap before the evening set in. Next came the slow paced evening walking session enjoying the cool breeze🍃.Throughout the day I have been following up on the trending news, that's next.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹.
Muslims in the coastal town of Mombasa today held protests in solidarity with the people of Gaza. They called for an immediate ceasefire and end of bombings. On the contrary, Kenyan president had claimed he will be standing with Israel🙀. This war is really dividing people but am not taking sides though😿. I'd rather collect sats and other cryptos.
Speaking of the war, today there was firing outside Gaza hospitals with patients and staff trapped inside🙀. There are active street fights between Israeli forces and Hamas.
Meanwhile the aerial shelling continued with hospitals and neighbourhoods hit.
35 days after the start of the war, Gaza health ministry said today the death toll stood at 11,078 and 27,000 injured😭.
It's not only in Gaza, Israeli forces have stepped up overnight raids and arrests in the occupied west bank since that October 7th attack. Last night's attack in Jenin was quite severe, they blew up homes and even tore up roads as a form of collective punishment🙀.
In England protesters blockaded the road leading to factory that manufactures and sells arms to Israel. Istanbul trending after women staged a sit in at the Blue square mosque in support of Palestinians in Gaza.
In a diplomatic push, Qatari Emir was in Egypt to discuss that situation in Gaza, next he will be in Saudi Arabia. Fingers crossed a solution to ease the deaths and suffering will be found💯.
In crypto fun facts, today marked 2 years since btc touched it's highest at $69,044, am sure we are headed back there and even much much higher💯.
Then, yesterday someone just moved 10,000 BTC worth $368 million for a transaction fee of $10😹.
