Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I know you have many other things to do, so am grateful you stopped by. Let's proceed to take a look at how my day has been plus some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So I had a rather short fast paced morning session consisting of a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. The cool morning breeze 🍃 was fantastic 💯 but the drizzling wasn't fun.
Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the city centre for some errands. A rainy day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news and some you tube. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, today the president gave the state of the nation address. Many people complaining of the high costs of living.
Globally, Gaza still trending as Israeli aerial attacks kept going. Today a hospital was hit, the Al Nasr children's hospital forced to
close down due to the attacks😿.
On the ground, fierce fighting in northern Gaza between Israeli forces and Hamas fighters🙀.
Meanwhile, Hamas has agreed to release two Israeli captives on humanitarian grounds. One an elderly lady who is unwell and the other a 13 year old boy.
Also trending, Qatar has hosted meeting of CIA chief, Mossad director and the Qatari PM. Negotiators are pushing for a pause in fighting in exchange for release of some captives.
Across the pond in the US, president
Biden announced that Israel had agreed to daily four hour pauses in the bombings to allow aid to reach people of Gaza.
Then more than 50 world leaders met in Paris France to mobilize aid for the people of Gaza. Protests in solidarity with Palestinians went on in London, large processions seen with big banners urging for the bombings to stop.
