Hello everyone 👋,
TGIF ✨ and a very warm welcome to my world 😊.As always I am so grateful for this day.
It's been wonderful stepping it out 💯, now that it's almost bedtime 💤 let's quickly take a look at how my day has been and also share some of the trending stories. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I started the day with a short brisk walk around the neighbourhood, today was a little warmer than yesterday which motivated me to keep going. Then I was back indoors for some resting and some of the little household chores here and there. Later in the afternoon I had some few errands at the city centre. Then back home I squeezed in the usual nap before the evening set in. Next came the slow paced evening walking session enjoying the cool breeze🍃.Throughout the day I have been following up on the trending news, that's next.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹. The royals concluded their trip to Kenya and have left for the UK.
Globally, that terrible situation in Gaza still capturing our attention. Today three hospitals and a convoy of ambulances hit in the ongoing bombardment of the Gaza strip 🙀.
The death toll has now exceeded 9,000😭.
At least 16 hospitals across Gaza are no longer functioning due to damage from bombing and lack of fuel😿.
Netanyahu has rejected temporary ceasefire in Gaza unless hostages are freed. The US called for humanitarian pauses but its top diplomat Antony Blinken has left Israel without a clear breakthrough🙀.
He is headed to Jordan where he will be meeting with foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Also trending, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah delivered his first speech since the war on Gaza started. He warned Israel that attacking Lebanon would be a grave and strategic error🙀.
Finally in crazy weather, large areas of Tuscany have been hit by flooding after heavy winds and rain buffeted central Italy😿. Cars were swept away as the river Bisenzio flooded and people climbed on roofs to escape the deluge. All's well that ends💯, everything will be ok.
