Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the city centre for a few errands . As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news, reading a few stuff before bedtime. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, the British royals visiting the Kenyan coast as they continued their trip in the country.
Globally, we are still stuck in the middle east as Israel does the most in Gaza😿. The aerial bombardment kept going, Jabaliya refugee camp hit for a third time, Bureij refugee camp also hit.
Disaster and despair as people dug out the dead and injured with their bare hands🙀. According to Gaza ministry of health the death toll has now exceeded 9,000😭.
The Israeli army says its forces have encircled Gaza city after days of expanding ground operations. Some heavy ground fighting with Hamas is ongoing🙀.
Also trending, Hezbollah is now firing missiles into Israel from Lebanon😿. A large fire has broken out at the Israeli town of Kiryat Shmona after a missile attack. Residents urged to shelter indoors for their safety.
Across the pond in the US, white house has confirmed that 74 dual citizenship Palestinians left Gaza through the Rafa crossing yesterday.
Also trending, US secretary of state, Anthony Blinken will be making a trip to the middle east. He is seeking talks with leaders so as to stop any more escalation in the war.
Also wants to talk to Israel and ask for pauses in the bombings to allow aid in and to reach civilians.
Finally, in crazy weather, storm Ciaran has devasted parts of the UK. It knocked out power to thousands of homes across Devon, Sussex, Surrey and the channel islands🙀. Dozens of people in Jersey evacuated to hotels overnight after wind gusts of upto 102mph damaged homes😿. All's well that ends well 💯. Lets hope the storm calms down.
