Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for and as the day fades away, am raring to go with my stepping activities of the day including some of the trending stories I came across. Thank you for being here and let's get cracking 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some groceries. Next came the refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Gaza trending as the situation there remains dire 😿. Today there were airstrikes close to Al Quds hospital. The hospital was warned of imminent bombing and has been asked to evacuate🙀.
A significant number of displaced Palestinians are seeking refuge in the courtyard of that hospital.
WHO chief called Israeli evacuation and bombing threats to Al Quds hospital deeply concerning.
Medics say moving patients from that hospital is impossible😿.
Meanwhile, Hamas fighters attacked Israeli tanks inside Gaza.
The Israeli army has confirmed that 239 people were taken hostage by Hamas.
Israeli defence minister told families of hostages that the ground offensive into Gaza aims to bring hostages back home and win the war.
Then Lebanon trending as Israeli army and Hezbollah forces have been exchanging fire across the border for nearly 3 weeks🙀.
Lets go to Europe where Pope Francis has called for a ceasefire, release of captives and safe passage of aid into the Gaza strip.
Norway's prime minister said Israel's reaction to Hamas attack exceeds rules of international law.
Turkey trending as they celebrated one hundred years of being a republic.In light of what's going on, they had low key celebrations
Across the pond in the US, the white house said Israel must distinguish between civilians and Hamas fighters in Gaza. There seems to be no quick solution to what's going on 😿.
Finally, trending in sports, many felt Ngannou won Fury in the boxing match although Fury named winner🙀.
