Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this day💯. It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. As always thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Come on 💨.
So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto , lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Ukraine trending as it traded drones with Russia🙀. Kyiv says it's air defence destroyed 26 of 38 Russian drones fired overnight. Meanwhile Russia says it repelled several Ukrainian drone attacks over Belgorod and Kursk regions destroying at least 11 drones🙀.
Russia trending as jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny, lost his appeal against a 19 year sentence😿. The judge confirmed that the sentence will be served🙀. Putin will never let him be free😡; hopefully they don't take him out in prison.
In the middle east, Israeli tourism minister is in Saudi Arabia to attend a tourism conference in Riyadh. History made as he is first senior cabinet minister to visit as the two countries continue mending relations.
Àcross the pond in the US, history made as president Biden joined the striking auto workers on the picket line in Michigan🙀. He told them they deserved the significant pay rise and other benefits they were demanding💯. Very true indeed, auto companies make great profits with only senior executives getting fat salaries and plump benefits😡.
Still in the US, e commerce giant, Amazon is being sued by the federal trade commission and 17 state attorneys🙀. US regulators accuse Amazon of stifling competition by inflating prices and overcharging sellers. I definitely agree, they need a strong competitor. Everything is amazon, amazon, Amazon, it's too much😹.
Finally, Canada trending as parliament speaker has resigned in the face of mounting pressure. This after he honoured a man who served in nazi world war unit during world war 2 as Ukrainian president Zelensky visited the house of commons last week🙀. He said he regretted it😿.
