TGIF 🍻🍷 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The weekend is upon us and as always glad you stopped by yet again 👏. It's now that time of day to slow down and take a look at how things went and also what's trending in the media streets. Come on, let's take it away 💨.
So I started the day with a short brisk walk around the neighbourhood, today was a little warmer than yesterday which motivated me to keep going. Then I was back indoors for some resting and some of the little household chores here and there. Later in the afternoon I had some few errands at the city centre. I stopped by the convention centre where the closing ceremony for the Africa Climate Summit was ongoing. Then back home I squeezed in the usual nap before the evening set in. Next came the slow paced evening walking session enjoying the cool breeze🍃.Throughout the day I have been following up on the trending news, that's next.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹.
Globally, India trending as world leaders are beginning to gather in New Delhi for the G20 summit. US president Biden had talks with PM Narendra Modi ahead of tomorrow's summit. Notable absentees include Vladimir Putin and Chinese president Xi Jingping😹. They have however sent their foreign ministers.
Speaking of Putin, Ukraine trending as Russia is holding elections in four areas it controls🙀. These include Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and zaporizhzhia. Ukraine and western nations have denounced those polls.
Not far off, France trending as the rugby 🏉 world cup kicked off in Paris. The opening match is between France and New Zealand, may the best team win 💯.
Let's go across the pond, Colombia trending as 15 south American countries are meeting in Cali for anti drug summit. They are meeting to discuss how to combat drug trafficking in Latin America. Cultivation of the coca leaves is at an all time high🙀.
In Asia, north Korea has unveiled a new submarine which it says can carry nuclear weapons🙀. Kim jong UN really likes to frighten the US😹.all these weapons amid high poverty levels among it's citizens
