Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for, we are just a few days to the end of August and I have had a great day. It's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye. As always thank you for reading and let's get it done 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some youtube and X which I will share next. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹, kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
On the continent, Libya trending as the country fired their foreign minister for meeting Israel's foreign minister in Italy last week🙀. She has had to leave the country for her safety. Libya doesn't like Israel for their treatment of Palestinians. That meeting provoked protests in many cities in Libya including Tripoli and Misrata where Israeli flags were burned🙀. Israel described the talks in Italy as historic and would lead to further co-operation😹.
Then political shenanigans 😹 in Niger as president Macron said the French ambassador would not leave after the coup leaders gave him an ultimatum to leave Niger in 48 hours. He said coup leaders have no authority for such action😹.
Speaking of France, abayas have been banned from all state run schools🙀. In 2004 they banned headscarves. Crosses, Jewish head coverings or any dress depicting religion are all banned.
In the UK, air traffic service says it has now fixed it computer network service after a major failure. This led to delays as not all flights could land or take off on time🙀.
Across the pond in the US, Trump says he will appeal the hearing of his case in Washington that has been set for 4 March next year. It's been set on super Tuesday😹.
Finally, China trending as they said they will no longer require a covid negative test from international travellers. Quite a relief as they had some of the strictest rules during the pandemic. Going as far as locking people in their own homes 😹.
