Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain, so give it up for him and other furry friends 😻. As for me I have had a great day stepping it out this cloudy August day; and just about now I wanna fill you in on how it went and also share some of the trending stories. It was a nice morning so I had an amazing session of a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. The other time I stepped out was to the shopping center for veggies and fruits around 1 pm. It was a largely cloudy day as I made my way. As always I had my usual afternoon nap, then I got up and had the cooking done. There were some interesting EPL matches going on and also athletics kicked off in Budapest, Hungary.
Finally I had the usual slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃 .In between I was watching the news and also youtube.
So what's been trending in the media streets? Locally a rather quiet day with the usual political shenanigans 😹.
On the continent, Niger still trending as a delegation from ECOWAS has met deposed president Mohamed Bazoum and also the leader of the junta. Defence chiefs had discussed last resort military intervention yesterday in Accra, though they didn't give any dates or deadlines.
Let's wait and see what happens next😹.
Today Israel trending as two Israelis were shot dead in the occupied west bank near the town of Huwara😭. Israeli army says a search for suspects is underway and roadblocks had been set up.
Not far off, Egypt trending as president El Sisi pardoned prominent activist Ahmed Douma and some other prisoners🎊. He was jailed in 2019 for a twenty year sentence🙀.
Let's go to Europe, where Ukraine trending as Russian missile attack killed 7 people in the city of Chernihiv😭. Many more injured too as the missile hit the busy central square.
Finally, in crazy weather; a state of emergency has been declared in British Columbia, Canada as wild fires became overwhelming🙀. Thousands of people have had to leave their homes.
A similar situation brewing in Tenerife, Canary islands as wild fires continued to tear through the area. People forced to leave homes or stay indoors in some areas🙀.
In the US, California is preparing for storm Hilary that forecasters say may cause flooding. Let's hope all will be well💯.
