Happy Sunday, and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Time flies, it's the last Sunday of June, imagine that😹. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk as I slept a little longer this morning 😹. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and then the afternoon saw me go out to the mall for some groceries and window shopping😹.
Then I was back home for a short but refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some you tube videos and news. I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk, a rather short one just to stretch out my legs. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, just another quiet Sunday, what's trending was the conclusion of the WRC safari rally. Frenchman Sebastian Ogier was number one, followed by Finnish man, Kalle Rovanpera with Carl Tundo of Kenya making number three🎉. Congratulations to them and all drivers who participated🎊.
Globally, Moscow trending as it returned to normal after yesterday's drama. The deal to call off the Wagner advance was brokered by Belarus president Alexsandr Lukashenko. Wagner leader is on his way to exile in Belarus but his exact whereabouts remain unknown. Putin has made no further statements since yesterday😹, the damage has been done.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's army has advanced it's counteroffensive retaking more villages in Bakmut and Zaporizhzhia. President Zelensky appealed for more weaponry as he insisted they will eventually win this war 💯.
Not far off, Greece trending as the conservative new democracy stormed to a landslide victory in the concluded election. PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis has been re elected for for a second time with a majority in parliament too.Congratulations to him🎊🎉.
Let's go to the middle east, airstrikes in Syria's Idlib region have killed 11 people and injured many more😭. The strikes were carried out by Russian war planes🙀. Maybe Putin moved to Syria?
Finally, Saudi Arabia trending as the largest hajj pilgrimage in history began. The number of pilgrims this year is expected to break records at more than 2.5 million🙀.
