Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain, so give it up for him and other furry friends 😻. As for me I have had a great day stepping it out this last weekend of May; and just about now I wanna fill you in on how it went and also share some of the trending stories. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
It was a nice morning so I had an amazing session of a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. The other time I stepped out was to the shopping center for veggies and fruits around 1 pm. It was a largely cloudy day as I made my way. As always I had my usual afternoon nap, then I got up and had the cooking done. Bayern Munich trending as they won the bundesliga title beating out Dortmund who drew their last game with Mainz, While Bayern won in Cologne. It is their 11th time to win, congratulations to them🎊🎉.
Finally I had the usual slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃 .In between I was watching the news and also youtube.
So what's been trending in the media streets? Locally a rather quiet day with the usual political shenanigans 😹.
On the continent, WFP have resumed humanitarian aid in Sudan where close to half a million people are trapped by the war. The ceasefire has eased fighting and so they can manage to distribute food and other essentials.
Globally, thousands of anti govt protesters have been rallying in the Serbian capital Belgrade. It's because of two mass shootings this month. 18 people were killed😭, they say the govt is not doing enough to tackle corruption. The Serbian president has stepped down as head of governing party🙀.
Meanwhile in Turkey, today was the day for the final pitch for votes as the polls open tomorrow for the final voting of the presidential candidates. Erdogan and Kilicdaroglu are going one on one. May the best candidate win💯.
Finally, across the pond in the US, president Biden says he is confident agreement will be reached on debt limit as the talks will keep going through the weekend.
According to Treasury secretary Janet Yellen, the govt will default if debt limit is not increased by June 5. A default could cause shockwaves in the global economy🙀.I guess it's gonna be a busy weekend😹.
