Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the shopping centre for some food. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news including crypto. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day.
Not a quiet day in Sudan as fighting went on despite the seven day ceasefire that began on Monday. Both parties blaming each other for the failure to adhere to ceasefire rules🙀.
Still on the continent, a Rwandan man has been arrested in south Africa for ordering the killing of over 2,000 people hiding out in a church in 1994 during the genocide🙀. He has been on the run for many years but finally they got him and am hoping justice will be served💯.
Speaking of justice, across the pond in the US. The founder of US oath keepers militia has been jailed for 18 years over that capitol attack. Prosecution was looking for 25 years😹. Stewart Rhodes is the first to be sentenced but am sure if Trump becomes president he will most likely be pardoned🙀.
Let's go to Europe where Russian and Belarus ministers signed a deal to transfer tactical nuclear weapons from Russia to Belarus 🙀. Putin had talked about it earlier last month.
Speaking of weapons, Iran has unveiled new missile called kheiber with a reported 2,000 km range.
Finally, more weapons, US and south Korea militaries are set to begin live fire drills as both nations mark 70 years of military alliance. This will be done along the border with north Korea🙀. Let's see what attention seeking Kim jong IL shall do about that, he will probably be test firing his newest missiles😹.
