Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I know you have many other things to do, so am grateful you stopped by. Let's proceed to take a look at how my day has been plus some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So I had a rather short fast paced morning session consisting of a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. The cool morning breeze 🍃 was fantastic 💯 but the drizzling wasn't fun.
Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the city centre for some errands. A rainy day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news and some you tube. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day. On the continent the fighting raged on I. Sudan on the first day of the seven days ceasefire🙀. Gunfire and explosions were heard in several areas of Khartoum. Meanwhile people still fleeing at every chance they get.
Globally, Ukraine trending as a drone was shot down over Kyiv🙀. President Zelensky was in Netherlands today visiting the Hague, joking that the other Vladimir was the one needed there to answer for his criminal activities 😹.
Let's go to the middle east, Israel trending as Israeli forces raided Nablus and killed three Palestinians whom they claim were responsible for a drive-by shooting that killed a mother and daughter 🙀.
Then Pakistan trending as 8 teachers were killed in Kurram district😭. The motive of the killing was not known but looked like some sort of revenge.
Across the pond in the US, leader of the far right group 'proud boys' has been found guilty of sedatious conspiracy by a jury in Washington DC. On Jan 6 2021 members of the proud boys were among the attackers who stormed capitol building 🙀.
