Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for, we just began the last week of April and I have had a great day. It's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye. As always thank you for reading and let's get it done 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news which I will share next. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. Then the story that's caught everyone's attention, today 27 more bodies were exhumed from the compound of the deranged pastor bringing the total number of the dead to 73😭. He urged his followers to fast so they would meet God🙀. 15 emaciated people were also discovered on the property, some still refusing to eat 😹.
Over in Sudan, the fighting entered day ten and both sides show no sign of stopping 🙀. Millions are trapped with no food or water. Hospitals are closed and banks too, even the online banking is off.
Kenyan foreign affairs minister was in Washington meeting US secretary of state Blinken talking about what can be done to end that violence in Sudan. I think diplomacy will be the best solution 💯.
Speaking of the US, Russia chaired several UN security council meetings after assuming the rotating presidency. Russia has used it's position on the UN security council to defend the war in Ukraine 🙀.
Still in the US, president Biden is expected to announce that he will be running for a second term. Finally, CNN have fired Don Lemon, while fox news have fired Tucker Carlson, I wonder what's going on🙀 .
