Happy Caturday 🐈 from Bob and yours truly😹. You definitely know the drill when it comes to Saturday 🐱; Bob and other furry friends are raiding the blockchain😻. Thank you for being here and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went today including what's trending around the block. Here we go again💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. Today was much warmer than yesterday so I made the most of it in the fresh morning air🍃. Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a stop at the mall for groceries. After a bit of walking and window shopping, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of youtube and the interesting EPL football matches.
The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹.Its been rainy especially this evening.
Trending on the continent, fierce fighting reported in Sudan among the army and a para military force known as Rapid Support Force. Fighting has spread from Khartoum to Merowe 🙀.
Globally, in France president Macron has finally signed the pension reforms bill and is set to take effect from September raising the retirement age from 62 to 64. Union leaders have said protests will continue 😹.
Over in Germany, victory at last for anti nuclear protesters as the last 3 nuclear stations were taken off grid. The 2011 Fukushima disaster in Japan led to the decision to close them down.
Speaking of Japan, current PM has a scare today when a 24 year old threw a smoke bomb in his direction as he gave a speech 🙀. Very scary given his predecessor Shinzo Abe was assassinated as he gave a speech. However his security swang into action and apprehended the young man amid the fracas.
Let's go to the middle east, Israel trending as tens of thousands of protesters filled the streets of Tel Aviv 🙀. The 15 th week of rallying against judicial reforms.
Finally, 12 inmates have died in a seriuos prison fight in Ecuador, such fights are common as gangs fight for supremacy.Elsewhere in Mexico, marines have been deployed on the beaches to protect tourists in Cancun, an arkward scene as gun wielding marines walk around sunbathing holiday makers😹.
