Happy Caturday 🐈 from Bob and yours truly😹. A warm welcome and thank you for stopping by yet again 👏. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain for a while 😻. Let's quickly take a look at how my day has been including some trending stories. You know the drill 💨.
So just like yesterday, it was an amazing morning session , brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. A nice walk as I enjoyed the wonderful breeze 🍃 A beautiful sunny day as I made my way. Anyways, back indoors I did rest a while before embarking on the household chores, mostly cleaning and tidying up. Then I watched some news and checked crypto. The next walking got me going to the mall later in the afternoon for some cooking groceries. Next I was back for the usual refreshing nap. After the nap I did some cooking, watched some youtube before heading out for the slow paced evening walk. So that's how the day went and it's now time to quickly look at what's trending.
Locally, nothing much but the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going. Kenya on high alert as there's a Marburg virus outbreak in neighbouring Tanzania. WHO has deployed rapid response teams to stop it's spread.
Globally, let's start in Italy where they are reporting a significant rise in the number of asylum seekers, up to two thousand arrive everyday🙀.
Last night 34 people are missing after a boat carrying assylum seekers sunk off the coast of Tunisia as they set off for Italy 😭.
Elsewhere in Ukraine, authorities say the battle for eastern city of Bakmut is stabilizing. Meanwhile Putin announced deal to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus 🙀. I saw a picture of him and the Belarusian president Lukashenko shaking hands.
In the middle east, Israel trending as protests against judicial reforms entered the 12th week 🙀. It's a plan to make parliament superior to the supreme court 😹. The defense minister is on the side of protesters and so is the military.
Still in Israel, in the occupied west Bank, two Israeli soldiers were injured in a drive by shooting. That region is tense, Israeli forces have killed 80 Palestinians since the start of the year😭. So it's like a revenge thing going on.
Finally let's finish off with crazy weather in the US. At least 23 killed in Mississippi tornado 🙀. Several others left homeless as the powerful tornado left lots of damage. The death toll expected to rise as search and rescue efforts continue across storm stricken areas. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😭.
Elsewhere snow depths of 820cm/ 323 inches reported in Mammoth mountain in California 🙀.
