Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for. It's still the first week of March and I have had a great day. It's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away💨.
So I had two major walks in the morning and evening. Started off the day with the fast paced morning session; today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. After a bit of resting, I did the usual household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the city center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Ukraine trending as the intense fighting rages on in Bakmut 🙀. Russian defence minister visited Ukraine in Russian held city of Mariupol.
Elsewhere in Turkey, the opposition six party alliance has named Kemal Kilicdaroglu to stand against president Erdogan in the May 14th elections. The 74 year old has stood against Erdogan three times before 🙀. Will he be 4th time lucky?
Close by in Georgia, political shenanigans 😹 in parliament as a brawl erupted among MPs over foreign agents bill.
Over in Iran, the supreme leader has said the gas poisoning of school girls was unforgivable. Religious groups opposed to girls education are to blame.
Speaking of girls' education, in Afghanistan universities opened today but girls are still barred from continuing their education 🙀.
Let's finish in Taiwan where authorities have warned that China may make a sudden entry🙀. China has recently stepped up military activities around Taiwan in recent years, including almost daily air force incursions into Taiwan's air defence identification zone. Taiwan doesn't want to be part of China but China has always insisted😹.
