Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for and am hoping everyone is having a great day.Can you believe March is here already.Thank you for stopping by and please keep reading 👓 as I let you in on how my day has been plus some of the trending stories that caught my eye 👀. Here we go again 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some fruits and veggies. Next came the refreshing nap💤. Then I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news, There was also some interesting and exciting football matches going on. Liverpool did wonders to Manchester united😹.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze.
Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. Kenyans shone through at the Tokyo marathon 🎊🎉. Ethiopia giving us some competition but we will deal with them😹.
Globally, the battle for Bakmut still on. The Ukrainian soldiers aren't backing down, they are holding off attacks from Russian forces attempting to surround the city.
Elsewhere in Athens Greece, people took to the streets to protest the worst rail disaster and the neglect and lack of accountability by authorities 💯. It got ugly and tear gas was used by police to disperse the angry protesters.
Let's go to Asia where a warrant of arrest has been served to former PM Imran Khan, he is set to appear in court🙀. Close by in Bangladesh, fire at the Rohinga refugee camp at Cox's Bazaar has left close to 12,000 without a home😭.
Then in Iran, the gas poisoned school girls continued their recovery as they described their ordeals. Burning eyes, stomach aches and collapsing🙀.
Across the pond in the US at the UN, a historic oceans treaty has been agreed after nearly 15 years🎊🎉👋.
Finally, an oil spill in the Philippines threatens marine life as the oil sludge keeps expanding 🙀. It's from a sunken oil tanker that authorities are trying to locate under the water, to seal off further spillage. Fingers crossed 🤞.
