Happy Caturday 🐈 from Bob and yours truly😹. I am really happy and grateful for this day💯. Oh my, it's already Saturday and you know the drill....it's Caturday in honor of our furry friends. I love you for stopping by yet again 👏; a warm welcome and let's get into today's stepping activities and trending stories. Come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, it was an amazing morning session , brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. A nice walk as I enjoyed the wonderful breeze 🍃 A beautiful sunny day as I made my way. Anyways, back indoors I did rest a while before embarking on the household chores, mostly cleaning and tidying up. Then I watched some news and checked crypto. The next walking got me going to the mall later in the afternoon for some cooking groceries. Next I was back for the usual refreshing nap. After the nap I did some cooking, watched some youtube and football before heading out for the slow paced evening walk. So that's how the day went and it's now time to quickly look at what's trending.
Locally, nothing much but the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going.
On the continent, French president Macron stopped by in Kinshasa DRC. Not everyone was pleased with that visit. Small groups of people protested claiming Macron funds Rwanda and in turn Rwanda funds the M23 rebels who are killings Congolese people🙀.
Today Iran trending as hundreds of school girls were admitted to hospital across several Iranian provinces🙀. This has been happening repeatedly since November. Apparently there are some religious beliefs against educating the girl child, so they are using poisonous gases to disrupt learning. Luckily no one has been killed so far.
Still in Iran the head of IAEA, Rafael Grossi is in Iran and held talks with president Raisi. Iran are cooperating on the inspection of their nuclear facilities. There were fears that they are enriching uranium up to military grade but that's not the case.
Close by in Israel, tens of thousands of protesters gathered in Tel Aviv for the ninth consecutive week to denounce the government's judicial reforms that they say will weaken the supreme court 🙀.
Lets go to Ukraine where there is severe fighting for the city of Bakmut. Russians saying it's only a matter of time before they capture it 🙀.
Across the pond in the US, former Brazilian president addressed the Cpac conference in Maryland where republicans have gathered. He was the Trump of Brazil. Today Trump himself speaks so it's expected to be full.
Finally in crazy weather, heavy rains have brought widespread flooding in parts of Malaysia. Meanwhile the Pacific nation of Vanuatu was hit by a powerful cyclone - the second one this week - leaving behind a trail of destruction 🙀.
