Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for, a new month quickly approaching, a new week and I have had a great day. It's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye. As always thank you for reading and let's get it done 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some crypto new which I will share next. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹. Over in Nigeria, people are anxiously waiting for the election results, 3 contenders say they are on their way to victory😹.
Globally, UK and EU leaders reached a new deal for Northern Ireland post Brexit trading agreements. It's a historic agreement, disputes about the post Brexit deal have prevented a government from forming in North Ireland. Today's deal will safeguard the sovereignty of N. Ireland 💯.
Elsewhere in Turkey another 5.6 earthquake happened in the city of Malatya 🙀. One person was reportedly killed😭, 29 buildings destroyed. Earlier last week 184 contractors were arrested for corruption and not following earthquake regulations in construction.
Israel trending as another Israeli was shot and killed by a gun man near Jericho 😭. The tension in the occupied west Bank is quite high.
Across the pond, tornadoes have swept through central US, knocking out power. Authorities have urged caution as a series of winter storms continue to bring extreme weather across the US🙀.
Finally, today was the first day of the mobile world Congress in Barcelona, Spain. They are showcasing the latest gadgets and inventions including 5G and 6G.
